“Conditional” candidates (moderate success rate based on the severity of your condition)
- Central spinal stenosis (abnormal narrowing of a vessel or an organ)
- Foraminal (lateral) stenosis
- Scoliosis exceeding 40 degrees
- Grade-1 or -2 spondylolisthesis (a vertebra slides forward over the one below it)
- Systemic pathology (inflammatory diseases)
- Past fractures (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, pelvic, etc.)
Ineligible patients (contra-indicated treatment or low treatment-success rate)
- Recent spinal-column fracture causing instability
- Grade-3 or -4 spondylolisthesis
- Herniated disc with free-floating fragment
- Cauda equina syndrome (leg paralysis and loss of bowel/bladder function)
- Severe osteoporosis (grade 2.5 or lower on your bone-density test)
- Pregnancy
- Recent abdominal surgery
- Tumour or cancer at the treatment site
